Carpet cleaning in Bergen County, NJ

We clean carpet, upholstery, rugs, mattresses and tile across Bergen County, from the high-rise condominiums along the Hudson at Fort Lee and Edgewater to the older colonials of Ridgewood, Tenafly and Ho-Ho-Kus. Bergen has seventy separate municipalities and a housing mix to match, so the job is planned around the building: a twelfth-floor condominium with a service lift and a booking window is a different visit from a 1920s house with a winder staircase. Oriental and wool rug work is a larger share of what we do here than anywhere else in North Jersey. We come to you and book by appointment at any hour.

Bergen County is seventy municipalities in about 230 square miles, and it holds two quite different kinds of home. Along the Hudson at Fort Lee, Edgewater and Cliffside Park there are high-rise condominium buildings where the practical constraints are the service lift, the building's rules about working hours and the fact that everything has to be carried through a shared lobby. Inland at Ridgewood, Tenafly, Ho-Ho-Kus and Ramsey the stock is older detached housing on larger lots, frequently with hand-knotted rugs over hardwood and carpeted stairs that were fitted decades ago. The rug work in particular concentrates here: more wool, more oriental, more pieces where the fibre has to be identified and the dyes tested before anything gets wet.

High-rise condominiums

Working in a tower means the service lift is booked, the hours are set by the building and everything comes through a shared lobby. None of that is a problem if it is planned. Tell us the building and the floor when you book and we will handle the arrangements at our end.

Wool and oriental rugs

More of the rug work in Bergen involves hand-knotted wool and older orientals than anywhere else we cover. Those get the fibre identified and the dyes tested in a hidden corner before anything else happens, because red and indigo next to a cream ground is exactly the combination that bleeds.

The visit

How a visit works in Bergen County

  1. 01

You tell us what is on the floor

Call, or send a photograph of the worst patch. It is the fastest way to a straight answer about what will lift and what will not — and if something is not coming out, we would rather say so now than at the door.

  2. 02

    We test before we clean

Fabric and rug dyes get tested somewhere nobody looks, and the fibre decides the method. This is the step that prevents the two things people actually fear: shrinkage and colour bleeding.

  3. 03

Extraction, then the parts a machine cannot reach

Heated solution goes into the pile and comes straight back out with the soil. Stairs, edges and corners are worked by hand afterwards, because no machine head sits flat on a stair tread.

Questions

Asked in Bergen County

Do you work in the high-rise buildings along the Hudson?

Yes, regularly. Fort Lee, Edgewater and Cliffside Park condominiums usually need the service lift booked and work done within set hours. Give us the building and floor when you call and we will arrange it.

Can you clean a hand-knotted oriental rug in the house?

In most cases yes. The fibre is identified and the dyes are tested in a hidden corner first, and the method is adjusted to what the rug actually is. Where a rug should not be wet-cleaned in a living room, we say so before booking.

How many Bergen towns do you cover?

All of them. The county has seventy municipalities and we work across the whole of it, from Mahwah and Ramsey in the north down to Lyndhurst and North Arlington in the south.

Is Sunday available?

Yes. Bergen's Sunday retail restrictions make it the quietest day on the roads here, and it is often the easiest day to schedule. We book by appointment at any hour, seven days.

Bob was great. He communicated clearly what the job would entail and was honest about what stains could not be 100% removed. Was happy with the service. The carpets looked brand new again!

There was a big difference in the living room rugs. Extraction brought out layers of dirt. Nearly invisible stains remain. Completely happy.

I had a move out carpet cleaning done. The team is very professional from my first contact to the actual cleaning by Jacob. He was very thorough, efficient and kind. Would definitely recommend.
