Terms and conditions
These terms cover the use of this website and the basis on which we quote and carry out work. The short version: an estimate is an estimate until we have seen the job, we will tell you before starting if something will not come out, and nothing on this website is a guarantee of a particular result on a particular floor.
Using this website
The content here is published for information. We keep it accurate and we date every page, but a website cannot account for the specific condition of a specific floor. Nothing on it forms a contract by itself.
Estimates
An estimate given before we have seen the work is based on what you have described to us. If what we find on arrival is materially different — more rooms, more damage, a fibre that needs a different method — we will tell you what changes before we start, not afterwards. You are free to decline at that point and there is nothing to pay for the visit.
What we will and will not promise about results
We will tell you honestly, before booking where possible, what we expect to lift and what we do not. Some things cannot be undone by cleaning: old pet urine, bleach, sun-faded dye, permanent staining in grout, and fibre that has been physically worn away. Where a result is uncertain we say so rather than promising and hoping.
We do not publish blanket guarantees on this website. A guarantee that does not state what it covers is a word rather than a promise, and we would rather have the specific conversation about your floor.
Access and preparation
We need access to the property, working power and water, and enough clear floor to work on. We move furniture that two people can safely lift and put it back. Items that are fragile, extremely heavy, or contain electronics or glass should be cleared or emptied before we arrive. Tell us in advance about pets, alarms, and building rules such as permitted working hours, a service lift or a certificate of insurance.
Cancellation
Tell us as early as you can and there is no issue. We would rather move an appointment than turn up to a house that is not ready.
Photographs
We photograph work before and after as a matter of routine and show those pictures to the customer. Publishing a photograph of your property on this website or on our social profiles only happens with your agreement.
Liability
We take care in your home and we take responsibility for damage we cause. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, for defects in the flooring, fabric or grout themselves, or for outcomes we told you about in advance and you asked us to proceed with anyway.
