Carpet cleaning in Plainsboro Township, NJ
Plainsboro Township is 24,084 residents and 9,960 homes on 12.11 square miles at the county's south-western corner, and its housing is dominated by one thing: the condominium and townhouse developments of Princeton Meadows, which put a very large share of the township's homes into multi-level units with a carpeted flight between every floor. Stairs, landings and the room off the entrance are where the work concentrates, and association access rules are worth mentioning when the appointment is made.
Plainsboro was formed on 6 May 1919 out of sections of Cranbury and South Brunswick, and for most of the century that followed it was dairy country. The Walker-Gordon Dairy Farm opened here in 1897 and gave the world both Elsie the Cow and the Walker Gordon Diner, which is a strange legacy for a township that now reads as an extension of the Princeton corridor. The change came from two directions: Princeton University had acquired nearly five thousand acres of the township by the 1980s, and the residential development that followed built Princeton Meadows into one of the largest concentrations of condominium and townhouse stock in Middlesex County. It borders Princeton and West Windsor as much as it borders Cranbury and South Brunswick, and the households here often work on one side of that line and live on the other.
Condominium flights
A multi-level condominium unit puts a carpeted staircase between every floor and a landing at each turn, and those surfaces take more traffic than the bedrooms they serve. All of it is hand work with a stair tool, edges included, and drying is planned so a household with one staircase is not cut in half for the afternoon.
Access and association rules
Managed developments often have rules about where a van may park, whether equipment can be run through a common corridor and what hours are allowed. None of that is an obstacle when it is known in advance and all of it is a wasted trip when it is not, so it is worth two sentences at the time of booking.

The visit
How a visit works in Plainsboro Township
- 01
You tell us what is on the floor
Call, or send a photograph of the worst patch. It is the fastest way to a straight answer about what will lift and what will not — and if something is not coming out, we would rather say so now than at the door.
- 02
We test before we clean
Fabric and rug dyes get tested somewhere nobody looks, and the fiber decides the method. This is the step that prevents the two things people actually fear: shrinkage and color bleeding.
- 03
Extraction, then the parts a machine cannot reach
Heated solution goes into the pile and comes straight back out with the soil. Stairs, edges and corners are worked by hand afterwards, because no machine head sits flat on a stair tread.

Questions
Asked in Plainsboro Township
Do you clean condominium units in Princeton Meadows?
Yes, regularly. Tell us the building and any parking or access rule the association applies, and whether there is a lift, so the equipment reaches the door without a wasted trip.
Can you clean the stairs without putting the whole flat out of use?
Yes. In a multi-level unit we sequence the work so there is always a way up and down, and carpet is normally walkable within about two hours of finishing rather than at the end of the day.
Is Plainsboro within your area even though it is next to Princeton?
Yes. Plainsboro is a Middlesex County municipality and it is on the round like the rest of the county. The Mercer County line running past it makes no difference to whether we come.
Do you clean upholstery in a rented unit?
Yes, and it is worth checking the fabric label or the inventory first if the furniture came with the tenancy. We test an unseen area for colourfastness before cleaning either way, so a landlord's sofa is treated no less carefully than your own.

There was a big difference in the living room rugs. Extraction brought out layers of dirt. Nearly invisible stains remain. Completely happy.
