Haledon is a borough in Passaic County, New Jersey, incorporated in 1908, with 9,052 residents at the 2020 census. Pietro and Maria Botto House / American Labor Museum (National Historic Landmark) is here. Locally it is read by its sections, Oldham, and a job is quoted on the one you are in rather than on the town line. During the 1913 Paterson silk strike, Haledon's mayor let strikers hold mass meetings at the Botto House because such gatherings were banned in Paterson. It borders North Haledon, Paterson, Prospect Park, Totowa, Wayne.

Developed as a streetcar suburb of Paterson after the Civil War, with trolley service electrified by 1888. Flat lower part of town platted in city-sized 25 by 100 ft lots; hillsides platted for larger Victorian 'villas'.
