About our service in Fair Lawn
Fair Lawn is part of our Bergen County service area, and our technicians cover the whole municipality.
34,927 residents across 5.13 square miles, which in practice means a mix of housing rather than one kind, so the useful question when you call is what is on your floor, not what the town is like. Everything is done on site, including the rugs and the floor underneath them, and we book around the clock.
Fair Lawn is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, incorporated in 1924, with 34,927 residents at the 2020 census. Radburn station and Memorial Park are here. Locally it is read by its sections, Berdan Grove, Broadway District, Central Fair Lawn, Dunkerhook, Columbia Heights, Hendersonville, and a job is quoted on the one you are in rather than on the town line. Incorporated in 1924 as one word, "Fairlawn", after David Acker's 1865 estate house; the official spelling was split into two words in 1933. Radburn, within the borough, was one of the first planned communities in the United States, and over 10% of residents are of Russian descent, the highest share of any community in New Jersey. It borders Paterson, Hawthorne, Glen Rock, Ridgewood, Paramus.
The housing in Fair Lawn
Victorian homes built along Berdan Avenue in the 1800s; about eighty houses stood in the area by 1861. Radburn, a planned community founded in 1929 as "a town for the motor age" and listed on the National Register. The age of a stock decides the method before anything else does: wool and fitted runners want controlled moisture and a dye test, synthetic pile over a pad takes a straight extraction.
Water damage in Fair Lawn
Bounded by the Passaic River to the west and the Saddle River to the northeast, east and southeast. Lenape-built Passaic River fishing weir survives just north of the Fair Lawn Avenue Bridge, the best preserved of several on the river. Carpet that has been wet has a clock on it: caught early most of it returns with a new pad, left standing it becomes a question about mold instead.

Questions
Questions from Fair Lawn customers
Question 1: Do you cover Fair Lawn?
Yes, it is one of the 70 municipalities we cover in Bergen County. We are a service-area business, so the only thing that changes between towns is the drive.
Question 2: How long before we can walk on the carpet in Fair Lawn?
About two hours to walk on, and dry the same day. The size of the property changes how long the cleaning takes, not how long the drying takes, so a larger Fair Lawn house is not a longer wait.
Question 3: Does the age of the houses in Fair Lawn change anything?
It changes the method. Victorian homes built along Berdan Avenue in the 1800s; about eighty houses stood in the area by 1861, and a stock of that kind decides whether a floor wants controlled moisture and a dye test or a straightforward hot-water extraction. We identify the fibre before anything gets wet, every time.
Question 4: Is wet basement carpet in Fair Lawn a cleaning job or a mold problem?
Sometimes, and what decides it is how long the water sat and what was in it rather than how bad it looks. Call as soon as the water is stopped. We read the pad and the subfloor with a meter and say which case you are in before starting.

Bob was great. He communicated clearly what the job would entail and was honest about what stains could not be 100% removed. Was happy with the service. The carpets looked brand new again!
