Far Hills is a borough in Somerset County, New Jersey, incorporated in 1921, with 924 residents at the 2020 census. USGA headquarters and museum, at a Far Hills address and Far Hills Race Meeting steeplechase are here. One of the smallest municipalities in the state by population, split off from Bernards Township in 1921. The steeplechase held each October draws up to 75,000 spectators; the name comes from an 1887 remark about the far hills. It borders Bedminster, Bernards Township, Bernardsville, Peapack-Gladstone.
