Formed on February 24, 1904 from portions of Dumont borough and Harrington Township, and named for the historic village of Haworth, England. Two 18-hole golf clubs sit inside the small borough: White Beeches, laid out in 1915 by Walter Travis, and Haworth Country Club, opened in 1965 and redesigned by Robert Trent Jones Jr. in 2000. It borders Emerson, Closter, Demarest, Dumont, Oradell.
