About our service in Closter
Closter is part of our Bergen County service area, and our technicians cover the whole municipality.
8,594 residents across 3.16 square miles, which in practice means a mix of housing rather than one kind, so the useful question when you call is what is on your floor, not what the town is like. We come to the property, there is no shop and nothing to drop off, and we book at any hour.
Closter is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, incorporated in 1904, with 8,594 residents at the 2020 census. Closter Plaza and Tenakill Middle School are here. The name comes from the Dutch klooster, meaning a quiet place or cloister, first recorded in a 1721 deed; local streets still carry the names of early Dutch families such as Bogert, Demarest, Durie, Naugle, Vervalen, Haring and Westervelt. Incorporated from Harrington Township on January 1, 1904, it lost land that March to the newly created Harrington Park, and its rail links to the Weehawken ferry earned it the nickname "Hub of the Northern Valley". It borders Alpine, Demarest, Emerson, Harrington Park, Haworth.
The housing in Closter
A collection of Jersey Dutch houses survives from the borough's early Dutch settlement. Changed after the turn of the 20th century from sprawling estates and farms into a suburban commuter town. The age of a stock decides the method before anything else does: wool and fitted runners want controlled moisture and a dye test, synthetic pile over a pad takes a straight extraction.
The ground Closter sits on
3.16 square miles of land plus 0.14 square miles of water (4.30%). Tucked behind the highest point of the Palisades, in the Northern Valley. Carpet that has been wet has a clock on it: caught early most of it returns with a new pad, left standing it becomes a question about mold instead.

Questions
Questions from Closter customers
Question 1: Do you cover Closter?
Yes. Closter is inside the normal Bergen County round, along with Alpine, Demarest, Emerson. All services are performed at the property, and bookings are taken at any hour.
Question 2: Do I get a price before you start?
You get a written estimate in Closter before any water touches the floor, not a number that moves at the door. It is quoted on the rooms, the fibre and the condition, which is why the first questions on the phone are about the property.
Question 3: Does the age of the houses in Closter change anything?
It changes the method. A collection of Jersey Dutch houses survives from the borough's early Dutch settlement, and a stock of that kind decides whether a floor wants controlled moisture and a dye test or a straightforward hot-water extraction. We identify the fibre before anything gets wet, every time.
Question 4: Water came into a Closter basement. What decides whether the carpet is saved?
Sometimes, and what decides it is how long the water sat and what was in it rather than how bad it looks. Call as soon as the water is stopped. We read the pad and the subfloor with a meter and say which case you are in before starting.

Jacob was the best. We had a pet accident that he took care of. He was quickly able to clean an area rug and honestly saved the day. Great work, will call again.

We used Carpet Cleaning Wizards to remove dog urine from a large area carpet. Jacob was timely in arrival, professional and friendly. He was efficient in taking care of the job and very pleasant while doing it. Would recommend this business.

There was a big difference in the living room rugs. Extraction brought out layers of dirt. Nearly invisible stains remain. Completely happy.
