Mount Vernon School (1860), now the Red Brick Schoolhouse Museum, on the National Register and Price-Baldwin House (c. 1770) and Lewis Noe Farmstead (c. 1770) are here. Site of the Continental Army's 1777 winter encampment in Lowantica Valley; the Rolling Knolls Landfill in Green Village is an EPA Superfund site designated a redevelopment zone in 2010. It borders Madison, Chatham Borough, Summit (Union County), New Providence (Union County), Berkeley Heights (Union County).
