Carpet cleaning in Washington, NJ

We clean carpet, upholstery, rugs, mattresses and tile throughout Washington, and across the rest of Bergen County. 9,285 residents across 2.95 square miles, which in practice means a mix of housing rather than one kind — so the useful question when you call is what is actually on your floor, not what the town is like. Population rose dramatically in the decade after the Garden State Parkway was completed in the mid-1950s, indicating heavy postwar subdivision. 3,341 housing units at about 1,150 per square mile of land. The housing in Washington

Population rose dramatically in the decade after the Garden State Parkway was completed in the mid-1950s, indicating heavy postwar subdivision. 3,341 housing units at about 1,150 per square mile of land. Older stock brings staircases built before any machine made for them existed, so those treads are worked by hand either way.

Water, and what it does to a floor here

Sits in the Pascack Valley within the Hackensack River watershed, taking in Musquapsink Brook, Pascack Brook and Schlegel Lake. Elevation ranges from under 50 feet in wooded swampland to about 360 feet west of Van Emburgh Avenue, leaving it less flood-prone than the rest of the valley. Below-grade carpet is the surface most at risk in a wet year, because the pad holds water long after the face has dried.

The visit

How a visit works in Washington

  1. 01

You tell us what is on the floor

Call, or send a photograph of the worst patch. It is the fastest way to a straight answer about what will lift and what will not — and if something is not coming out, we would rather say so now than at the door.

  2. 02

    We test before we clean

Fabric and rug dyes get tested somewhere nobody looks, and the fiber decides the method. This is the step that prevents the two things people actually fear: shrinkage and color bleeding.

  3. 03

Extraction, then the parts a machine cannot reach

Heated solution goes into the pile and comes straight back out with the soil. Stairs, edges and corners are worked by hand afterwards, because no machine head sits flat on a stair tread.

Washington has no named districts that anyone searches for separately, which is ordinary for a municipality of its size. Rather than invent a list to fill the space, this page says plainly that the whole township is covered — and it is.

Questions

Asked in Washington

Do you cover Washington?

Yes. Washington is inside the normal Bergen County round, along with Emerson, Hillsdale, Ho-Ho-Kus. There is no shop and nothing to drop off — the van carries the machine to the property, and bookings are taken at any hour.

How long before we can walk on the carpet?

Carpet is normally walkable in a couple of hours and dry by the evening. If you need a particular room sooner — a nursery, a rented flat on handover day — tell us at booking and air movers come along.

Does the age of the houses in Washington change anything?

It changes the method. population rose dramatically in the decade after the Garden State Parkway was completed in the mid-1950s, indicating heavy postwar subdivision — and a stock of that kind decides whether a floor wants controlled moisture and a dye test or a straightforward hot-water extraction. We identify the fibre before anything gets wet, every time.

Our basement took water. Is the carpet worth saving?

Sometimes, and what decides it is how long it sat and what was in the water rather than how bad it looks. sits in the Pascack Valley within the Hackensack River watershed, taking in Musquapsink Brook, Pascack Brook and Schlegel Lake — so this is a question we get here. We read the pad and subfloor with a meter and say which case you are in before starting.

Jacob was the best. We had a pet accident that he took care of. He was quickly able to clean an area rug and honestly saved the day. Great work, will call again.
