Westwood is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, incorporated in 1894, with 11,282 residents at the 2020 census. 2.26 square miles of land bordering four Pascack Valley municipalities. the triangular park at Westwood Park Place and Old Hook Cemetery are here. Locally it is read by its sections, Old Hook, and a job is quoted on the one you are in rather than on the town line. Known as "The Hub of the Pascack Valley", Westwood broke away from Washington Township in May 1894 as one of the first of the 26 boroughs created in Bergen County that year, with Isaac D. Bogert as first mayor. It annexed the "Old Hook" section of Emerson in 1909 and exchanged further land with Emerson in 1957, and it shares the county's only K-12 regional school district with Washington Township. It borders Emerson, Hillsdale, River Vale, Washington Township.
