Wyckoff is a township in Bergen County, New Jersey, incorporated in 1926, with 16,585 residents at the 2020 census. Terhune House and the former Wyckoff station of the New York, Susquehanna and Western Railway are here. Locally it is read by its sections, Sicomac, and a job is quoted on the one you are in rather than on the town line. Wyckoff is the remnant of Franklin Township, which lost Ho-Ho-Kus, Ridgewood, Midland Park, Oakland and Franklin Lakes in turn before residents voted 243 in favour out of 337 votes cast on November 2, 1926 to rename what was left the Township of Wyckoff. Sicomac, said to mean "resting place for the departed", is traditionally the burial place of Chief Oratam and lends its name to a school and to many local businesses. It borders Allendale, Franklin Lakes, Mahwah, Midland Park, Ridgewood.
