Woodcliff Lake is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey, incorporated in 1894, with 6,128 residents at the 2020 census. BMW North American headquarters, formerly the world headquarters of Ingersoll Rand and Tice's Corner Marketplace are here. Incorporated in 1894 as the Borough of Woodcliff from parts of Orvil and Washington townships, it was renamed Woodcliff Lake in 1910 after the reservoir was built, because a Woodcliff post office already existed in Hudson County. It exchanged land with Park Ridge in 1956 and 1958 and with Hillsdale in 1960. It borders Hillsdale, Montvale, Park Ridge, River Vale, Saddle River.
