Guttenberg is a town in Hudson County, New Jersey, incorporated in 1859, with 12,017 residents at the 2020 census. Only about four blocks wide from north to south. Galaxy Towers and Bergenline Avenue are here. The most densely populated incorporated municipality in the United States in the 2020 census, at 57,116 inhabitants per square mile of land area. Formed from North Bergen Township in 1859, it was absorbed into Union Township in 1861 and only became fully independent in 1878. It borders North Bergen, West New York.
