About our service in Wharton
Wharton is part of our Morris County service area, and our technicians cover the whole municipality.
7,241 residents across 2.08 square miles, which in practice means a mix of housing rather than one kind, so the useful question when you call is what is on your floor, not what the town is like. All services are performed at the house, and bookings are taken at any hour.
Wharton is a borough in Morris County, New Jersey, incorporated in 1895, with 7,241 residents at the 2020 census. Hugh Force Canal Park and Former Morris Canal towpath are here. Locally it is read by its sections, Irondale, Luxemburg, Maryville, Mount Pleasant, Port Oram, and a job is quoted on the one you are in rather than on the town line. Wharton was originally incorporated in 1895 as Port Oram, an iron-ore shipping port on the Morris Canal, then renamed in 1902 for industrialist Joseph Wharton; it was a filming location for Cyndi Lauper's 1984 'Time After Time' music video. It borders Dover, Jefferson Township, Mine Hill Township, Rockaway Township, Roxbury.
The housing in Wharton
Originally five settlements (Port Oram, Irondale, Luxemburg, Maryville, Mount Pleasant) that were essentially mine camps or housing built for blast-furnace and silk-mill workers, incorporated together in 1895. Early development centered on iron-ore mining, canal shipping, and worker housing rather than planned residential subdivision. A building with its own rules is a different appointment from a house with a driveway, and both are ordinary once they are known in advance.
The ground Wharton sits on
The Morris Canal ran through Wharton, connecting it to Newark and Pennsylvania anthracite sources, until operations ended in 1924. Hugh Force Canal Park (9 acres) preserves hiking trails along the former Morris Canal towpath. After any water event, drying is measured with a moisture meter. It stops when the materials read dry, not when the room looks finished.

Questions
Questions from Wharton customers
Question 1: Do you cover Wharton?
Yes, it is one of the 39 municipalities we cover in Morris County. We are a service-area business, so the only thing that changes between towns is the drive.
Question 2: Do you clean the stairs as well as the rooms?
Yes, and the treads, the risers and the stringers are worked by hand, because no machine head fits a staircase. It is the slowest part of a Wharton visit and the part where the difference shows most.
Question 3: Does the age of the houses in Wharton change anything?
It changes the method. Originally five settlements (Port Oram, Irondale, Luxemburg, Maryville, Mount Pleasant) that were essentially mine camps or housing built for blast-furnace and silk-mill workers, incorporated together in 1895, and a stock of that kind decides whether a floor wants controlled moisture and a dye test or a straightforward hot-water extraction. We identify the fibre before anything gets wet, every time.
Question 4: A pipe let go and the carpet is soaked. Can it be saved in Wharton?
Sometimes, and what decides it is how long the water sat and what was in it rather than how bad it looks. Call as soon as the water is stopped. We read the pad and the subfloor with a meter and say which case you are in before starting.

I was extremely satisfied. The carpets look brand new, and-most importantly-everything was done right on time, exactly as we had agreed. They work very quickly and professionally.

Because it was positioned so close to a light window, our leather couch had become lifeless, scuffed, and overall dried up. Amazing results were achieved on the material after a thorough cleaning and subsequent expert conditioning treatment. It looks really expensive, smells like rich leather, and is soft to the touch.
