About our service in Boonton Town

Boonton Town is part of our Morris County service area, and our technicians cover the whole municipality.

8,815 residents across 2.34 square miles, which in practice means a mix of housing rather than one kind, so the useful question when you call is what is on your floor, not what the town is like. We are a service-area business and the phone is answered at any hour.

Boonton is a town in Morris County, New Jersey, incorporated in 1867, with 8,815 residents at the 2020 census. Arch Bridge from the former Boonton Iron Works (built 1866, NRHP-listed 2022) and Boonton Holmes Public Library (NRHP-listed 1972) are here. In 1908 the Boonton Reservoir became the first municipal water supply in the United States to be chlorinated; the town also claims the world's first molding of organic plastics in 1907 (Boontonware). Originally formed March 16, 1866, then reincorporated as a fully independent town on March 18, 1867. It borders Boonton Township, Montville, Mountain Lakes, Parsippany-Troy Hills.

The housing in Boonton

Boonton Historic District includes distinctive octagon-shaped houses along Cornelia Street. Town core developed in the 1830s as a mill settlement tied to the Morris Canal and Boonton Iron Works. A building with its own rules is a different appointment from a house with a driveway, and both are ordinary once they are known in advance.

Water damage in Boonton Town

Rockaway River flows through Boonton Gorge downtown, including a 25-foot waterfall (Boonton Falls). Boonton Reservoir (part of Jersey City's water supply), completed 1904, covers the site of the original town settlement. After any water event, drying is measured with a moisture meter. It stops when the materials read dry, not when the room looks finished.

Questions

Questions from Boonton Town customers

Question 1: Do you cover Boonton?

Yes. Boonton is inside the normal Morris County round, along with Boonton Township, Montville, Mountain Lakes. All services are performed at the property, and bookings are taken at any hour.

Question 2: Is parking or access a problem at our address?

Rarely, and it is easier when we know first. Tell us whether there is a driveway, permit parking or a loading area in Boonton Town, and we plan the access and the parking before the visit.

Question 3: Does the age of the houses in Boonton change anything?

It changes the method. Boonton Historic District includes distinctive octagon-shaped houses along Cornelia Street, and a stock of that kind decides whether a floor wants controlled moisture and a dye test or a straightforward hot-water extraction. We identify the fibre before anything gets wet, every time.

Question 4: A pipe let go and the carpet is soaked. Can it be saved in Boonton Town?

Wet carpet has a clock on it. Clean water caught in the first day or two usually comes back with extraction, a new pad and structured drying, and water that stood longer usually does not. We measure the pad and the subfloor rather than trusting how the surface feels.
