Carpet cleaning in Leonia, NJ

We clean carpet, upholstery, rugs, mattresses and tile throughout Leonia, and across the rest of Bergen County. 9,304 residents across 1.52 square miles, which in practice means a mix of housing rather than one kind — so the useful question when you call is what is actually on your floor, not what the town is like. Colonial-era dwellings survive, including the Cole-Allaire House of about 1765, the borough's oldest, and the 1786 Vreeland House. Housing developed and marketed from 1899 by Artemus Ward's Leonia Heights Land Company, which drew academics and artists. We come to the property — there is no shop and nothing to drop off — and we book at any hour.

The housing in Leonia

Colonial-era dwellings survive, including the Cole-Allaire House of about 1765, the borough's oldest, and the 1786 Vreeland House. Housing developed and marketed from 1899 by Artemus Ward's Leonia Heights Land Company, which drew academics and artists. The age of a stock decides the method before anything else does: wool and fitted runners want controlled moisture and a dye test, synthetic pile over a pad takes a straight extraction.

The ground Leonia sits on

Sits on the western slope of the Palisades, near the western approach to the George Washington Bridge. Elevation ranges from about 5 ft in the western part to 318 ft in the east, with the borough center at 115 ft. Carpet that has been wet has a clock on it: caught early most of it returns with a new pad, left standing it becomes a question about mold instead.

The work

Photographed on the job. Nothing on this site is stock.

A flight of carpeted stairs after cleaning, oatmeal and blue-grey banding running up the treads
A flight of stairs, finished. Three faces per step, none of which a machine head sits flat on — stairs are the slowest surface in any job and they are done by hand.

The visit

How a visit works in Leonia

  1. 01

You tell us what is on the floor

Call, or send a photograph of the worst patch. It is the fastest way to a straight answer about what will lift and what will not — and if something is not coming out, we would rather say so now than at the door.

  2. 02

    We test before we clean

Fabric and rug dyes get tested somewhere nobody looks, and the fiber decides the method. This is the step that prevents the two things people actually fear: shrinkage and color bleeding.

  3. 03

Extraction, then the parts a machine cannot reach

Heated solution goes into the pile and comes straight back out with the soil. Stairs, edges and corners are worked by hand afterwards, because no machine head sits flat on a stair tread.

Questions

Asked in Leonia

Do you cover Leonia?

Yes. Leonia is inside the normal Bergen County round, along with Englewood, Fort Lee, Palisades Park. There is no shop and nothing to drop off — the van carries the machine to the property, and bookings are taken at any hour.

How long before we can walk on the carpet?

Carpet is normally walkable in a couple of hours and dry by the evening. If you need a particular room sooner — a nursery, a rented flat on handover day — tell us at booking and air movers come along.

Does the age of the houses in Leonia change anything?

It changes the method. colonial-era dwellings survive, including the Cole-Allaire House of about 1765, the borough's oldest, and the 1786 Vreeland House — and a stock of that kind decides whether a floor wants controlled moisture and a dye test or a straightforward hot-water extraction. We identify the fibre before anything gets wet, every time.

Our basement took water. Is the carpet worth saving?

Sometimes, and what decides it is how long it sat and what was in the water rather than how bad it looks. sits on the western slope of the Palisades, near the western approach to the George Washington Bridge — so this is a question we get here. We read the pad and subfloor with a meter and say which case you are in before starting.

Jacob was the best. We had a pet accident that he took care of. He was quickly able to clean an area rug and honestly saved the day. Great work, will call again.

There was a big difference in the living room rugs. Extraction brought out layers of dirt. Nearly invisible stains remain. Completely happy.

I had a move out carpet cleaning done. The team is very professional from my first contact to the actual cleaning by Jacob. He was very thorough, efficient and kind. Would definitely recommend.
