Kenilworth is a borough in Union County, New Jersey, incorporated in 1907, with 8,427 residents at the 2020 census. Lenape Park, a 450-acre wildlife reserve, is shared with three neighbours. Merck headquarters campus, the former Schering-Plough site and Galloping Hill Golf Course are here. Known as New Orange while it was an industrial land development in the 1890s, it took the name Kenilworth at its 1907 incorporation from a local businessmen's club named after Walter Scott's novel. Upsala College was recruited here from Brooklyn. It borders Union Township, Roselle Park, Cranford, Springfield Township.
