Brinkerhoff House, on the National Register, home of the Wood-Ridge Public Library and Wood-Ridge High School are here. Incorporated in December 1894 from portions of Bergen Township as one of the 26 boroughs created in Bergen County that year during "Boroughitis". Its population jumped by nearly a third during the 2010s around a new station and residential development, and its high school also takes ninth through twelfth graders from Moonachie under a sending/receiving arrangement. It borders Hasbrouck Heights, Lodi, Wallington, Carlstadt, Moonachie.
